Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on 16 March 1984 at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and well-known comedians. The comedian has been on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Claiodhnadh, or Aisling "Bea", is an Irish writer and actor. Born on the 16th of March 1984. Bea started her professional career in stand-up comedy in 2011 after playing small roles that she acted in Irish and British television dramas from 2009. After 2012 she had been appearing in sketch comedy shows, sitcoms, and other similar shows. After she was awarded an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear frequently in panel shows. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since the year 2016 and is an extremely popular contestant on the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Parents are Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has an older sister named Sinead. She was the winner of the So You Think You're Funny Award twice. Bea, her maiden name, is a tribute to her late dad. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. The father of her Brian was an equine veterinarian who took his own life when Bea was three years old though she wasn't told about the cause of his death until she turned 13. In 2017, Bea wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea (and her sister Sinead) was raised in a home by Helen Moloney, a teacher and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. Their parents were both obsessed with racing and horses. Bea began her career as tourist guides for the Irish National Stud. But she realized her true passion was doing and not racing.
