Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director, famous for his role as the lead of Birdman. Keaton is an actor with a variety of talents who is able to play comedic as well as dramatic roles. Alongside the roles of a romantic, he has also played in action films as well as thrillers. His interest in the performing arts started when he was in his teen years. He tried stand up comedy in his early 20s. While his stand-up comedy venture didn't go well however, it served as the basis to his acting career. Because he could not to succeed as the actor of his dreams, he decided to work as a TV cameraman. This job was the first time he realized that he truly wanted to appear before cameras. Then he was able to get a television role and appeared in several seasons on Mister Rogers Neighborhood. So it was not a surprise the actor quickly gained a following as a well-known TV actor. He embarked on an acting career in film with huge ambitions and found considerable fame for his comedic performances. The career of his character was further boosted by the acclaim he received for his portrayal of Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. In his later years, as a mature actor the actor also began to explore into directing and producing. He was awarded numerous nominations and awards for his performance in the 2014 film Birdman.
